Starting College Guide

1. You should always ask for help. You do not have to set up appointments all the time; it would be enough to do this once a month or two, but in case you need to get extra attention, you can employ their office hours. Often students forget that the professors are there to helping them, but typically professors pass semesters without visits from their students. You should do it especially if you have some difficulties. You should not treat the professors as tutors, though. it is recommended to look for the tutoring center. And do not spend more than 20 minutes in the office.
2. Bring concerned stuff to the class or the professor. For instance, you found something very interesting that could suit the subject that you are studying. Soever, you should bring as much as possible. It will show that you have some interest going beyond the classroom. Actually, professors like that very much.
3. You must turn off your mobile. Never answer and look at your mobile in order to know who is calling, and worse, play games when the classes are going on. It shows lack of respect and no professor takes this with a smile. In addition, you must not eat in classes. The food smell interferes not just with the teaching itself, but with other students’ tastes as well. What is tasty for one can make others vomit.
4. You must not have parallel conversations. You must be focused all the time. Talking in classes is a no-no, till you are between group activities or tasks.
